These Terms of Service govern your use of the Reverie mobile application and related services operated by Reverie Books Ltd. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Reverie. By creating an account, you confirm you are 13 or older. You agree to provide accurate information including your date of birth. You may only create one account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
Reverie is a social reading app for book lovers. It lets you track reading, rate books using sigils, discover your reader identity through Reverie DNA, share reading content, discuss books in Sanctums, and connect with other readers. Reverie is a social platform - content is user generated and we are not responsible for its accuracy. Your Soulprint and reader archetypes are generated for entertainment and personalisation purposes and do not constitute professional assessments.
Free accounts have access to core features including shelves, sigil ratings, community features, Chronicle recaps, and basic DNA. Reverie Obsidian is our premium subscription tier. All new accounts are set to private by default. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account.
You agree NOT to: use the App if under 13; create a false identity or impersonate others; post harmful, threatening, abusive, or obscene content; post any content that sexualises minors; harass or bully other users; send spam; scrape or extract data by automated means; attempt to reverse engineer the App; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; or violate any applicable laws.
You retain ownership of content you create on Reverie. By posting content, you grant Reverie Books Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute your content within the App and in connection with promoting Reverie. You are solely responsible for your content and warrant that it does not infringe any third party's rights. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms without notice.
The following is strictly prohibited: any content that sexualises or harms minors (resulting in immediate termination and may be reported to authorities); targeted harassment or threats; hate speech; spam; deliberate misinformation; spoilers without warnings; and impersonation. Use the in-app report function to report violations. Consequences range from content removal and warnings to permanent account termination.
The App, including its design, features, branding, Reverie DNA system, sigil system, archetype names, Reading Seasons, and all associated technology, is owned by Reverie Books Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without prior written consent. If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use that feedback without obligation to compensate you.
Reverie Obsidian pricing: Monthly £4.99 / $5.99 - Annual £39.99 / $49.99. All subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store and renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Where a free trial is offered, your subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial unless cancelled. We will give reasonable advance notice of any price changes.
The free tier includes unlimited shelf and reading tracking, sigil ratings, monthly and annual Chronicle recaps, current Reading Season, DNA match percentages (after 5 rated books), basic recommendations, and full community features. We will not remove core reading tracking features from the free tier.
Cancel your Obsidian subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. All purchases are subject to Apple's or Google's refund policies — we do not process refunds directly. Contact Apple Support or Google Play Support for refund requests. No refunds are provided if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.
Reverie integrates with Firebase, Supabase, RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry, and OpenAI. Your use of these services through Reverie is subject to their respective terms. When you share a TikTok link to identify a book, the caption text is sent to OpenAI's API — by using this feature you consent to this processing.
Reverie is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Your Soulprint, archetypes, DNA match percentages, and Reading Seasons are generated algorithmically for entertainment purposes — we make no warranty they accurately represent your personality. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reverie Books Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Reverie in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater. Nothing limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
You agree to indemnify Reverie Books Ltd from claims arising from your use of the App in violation of these Terms, your user generated content, or your violation of any applicable law.
You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, for legal reasons, or if we discontinue the App. Termination for severe violations (such as content involving minors) may be immediate without notice.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Please contact us at team@reverie.at to resolve disputes informally before pursuing legal action.
